UKAS Accreditation Successfully Maintained

Chelmer are proud to announce that our UKAS accreditation has been successfully maintained following a visit to our Laboratory by UKAS Assessors on Wednesday 9th December 2015.

Congratulations to Laboratory Director Mark Collyer and his team who have worked tirelessly to ensure procedures and standards are in place, enabling testing of the highest quality.

Expanding Materials Testing Services

Following the expansion of Chelmer’s laboratory, Director of Laboratories Mark Collyer and his team have been working hard to extend the suite of materials testing services we provide our clients.

Our ever expanding laboratory now has the capacity to cater for many significant testing contracts and we are ensuring client expectations on delivery and service quality are being met consistently.

As well as materials testing in the laboratory environment, Chelmer are proud to offer the latest technology for on site testing, including CBR and Pile Integrity tests, with results and reporting turnaround time second to none.

Our fleet of vehicles are ready to attend sites at short notice and we always do our best to accommodate client requests.

To discuss your materials testing requirements, please feel free to contact Mark on 01245 400 930 or email him at mcollyer@siteinvestigations.co.uk with any queries you may have.

New Business Acquisitions

As part of the ongoing expansion and development of Chelmer, we are pleased to announce the successful acquisitions and integration of established site investigation and drainage companies Bowbuild and Draincare & Repair Ltd.

Both these companies now fall under the Chelmer banner and we are fully committed to ensuring relationships and service levels with existing clients are maintained and improved further. Bowbuild operated from Caterham in Surrey, whilst Draincare & Repair were based in Bedfordshire where we have retained their main depot.

We have found that clients are already benefitting from the expanded range of services Chelmer offer, in particular through Chelmer Drainfix Logistics where emergency call outs and fixed service contracts  are just some of the new services we are able to offer. We have added several fully kitted vehicles to our fleet and retained the good staff from both these companies to continue their good work.

For further information or if you have any queries, please email us on info@siteinvestigations.co.uk or alternatively call us on 01245 400930.

New Shell and Auger Rigs

We have recently purchased an additional three Shell and Auger Rigs; one of which is a restricted access
(cut down) rig. These have joined our ever expanding fleet.

We are particularly pleased with our ‘Cut Down’ Shell and Auger Rig as this will aid those sites that have restricted access and require undisturbed samples to be retrieved for testing purposes. This is of particular importance on sites of proposed basement development.

Should you require any further information on these rigs and how they may aid your site investigation, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Training Day

In July 2014 we held a very successful in-house training day.

Due to the fast growing nature of Chelmer, many new staff have joined all our divisions and it was felt that everyone would benefit from learning what each division is tasked with. This has given each member of our staff a better understanding of how best to direct clients with their inquiries and given us all thoughts on how to improve efficiency in order to deliver our clients a better service.
