Chelmer Site Investigations is a family run business established in 1997 who operate across the UK from a single centre in Essex. We pride ourselves in maintaining a professional approach at all times whilst still being able to give the ‘personal’ touch to all our clients.

Chelmer Site Investigations provide a wide range of services for Structural Engineers, Architects, Building Developers, Consulting Engineers, Piling Contractors, Housing Associations and the Private Householder.

We are able to undertake both large and small new build, subsidence and ground investigations and use various methods of trial pitting, boreholes, drilling, sampling, soil testing and reporting to suit the investigation requirements. Also, to ensure depths required are achieved, we send out a Restricted Access CFA Mechanical drilling rig on all subsidence related contracts.

Our operatives are provided with all the necessary safety equipment and protective clothing bearing our company logo, which is worn at all times and most of our operatives are CSCS registered.

Company vehicles are equipped with a variety of tools to cater for all conditions encountered on site, being external or internal.

Due to new stricter building regulations one of the main requirements of ‘new build’ is reporting on soil contamination. We can gladly arrange for these tests to run in conjunction with our investigations and include the results in our report.

Tree root identification and CCTV drain surveys can also be arranged to compliment site investigations. These are undertaken by well respected companies, whom we have worked with for many years.
